What is Community Safety?

Working Together to Make Doncaster Safer

The Community Safety Team are working to promote safer, stronger, sustainable communities. The team works alongside the Police, Fire Authority, NHS, and voluntary sector as part of the Safer Doncaster Partnership, aiming to reduce crime and improve the quality of life for residents of Doncaster. 

Our approach is to: 

• improve security to reduce the opportunity for crime; 
• work with offenders, and potential offenders to change behaviour;
• raise public awareness of both the true incidence of crime, and our work to tackle it, in order to reduce the fear of crime;
• support victims.
